Animals of Aberdeen

3 Dec 2013

I came across a plethora of animals over the course of our five day stay in Aberdeen. Meet the animals of Aberdeen!

Enjoy! xo

Crathes Castle

We celebrated Thanksgiving on Friday. In Scotland, it was business-as-usual so it was just more convenient this way. We had such a wonderful time eating, drinking and socializing with Ron and Julie's friends; everyone was so nice and welcoming. A few of us ended the night in a "typical AC fashion" with a few renditions of Les Miserables, Rent and Wicked-- the standard of any fun night!

The next morning, we peeled ourselves out of our food coma to head out to Crathes Castle for some family photos that my aunt had scheduled for her family. James and I went along to so some sightseeing and help out with the dogs. Once again, it was great weather and beautiful. Scotland has the freshest air and the purest water. It just revitalizes you!

THANKSGIVING CARD

James and I have spent many Thanksgivings together, but this marks our first one together as a married couple. It was made exceptional by the fact that we were able to spend the holiday in Scotland. I would have never imagined that we would be living out this roller coaster that we call our life, but we are taking it as it comes and I am excited for many more adventures in the future.

Happy Thanksgiving 2013!

Dunnottar Castle

We arrived in Scotland Tuesday night. James had the opportunity to work in the Aberdeen office on Wednesday, so I had an entire day of QT with my aunt.

Julie and I started the day off with a long dog-walk in the woods and then headed out to Dunnottar Castle. Walking around Dunnottar was an amazing experience; we had the entire castle to ourselves and it was a beautiful day in Scotland, so double score! It's crazy to think about how young the United States is... we just don't have anything like that back home.

We finished off our excursion eating fresh seafood in the quaint neighboring town of Stonehaven. It was a lovely day, spent with one of my lovely aunts. I couldn't have asked for a better day! Thank you, Julie! xoxo

WEEK NINE

1 Dec 2013

James and I just got back from spending five days in Aberdeen, Scotland. It was such a treat to be able to spend the holiday with my family and meet some of their closest friends. The weather was wonderful, so we were able to get out and do a decent amount of sightseeing. Aberdeen is b-e-a-utiful and there's something historic everywhere you look. Needless to say, I have a TON of pictures!

I can't believe it is December 1st. There are so many exciting dates coming up; James' 31st birthday, Christmas holiday in the States, Winston, Winston, Winston, Billy Joel in NYC. These next few weeks are going to fly by! Even though we aren't going to be in London for Christmas, I am still going to get a mini tree just for these next few weeks--- hey! we gotta soak up the "London Christmas Spirit" while we can!

Well, I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Please know that we are thankful for all of our friends, family and fur babies. We are excited to see everyone soon!
