WEEK TWENTY-SIX

Compared to the previous week's weather, this week was underwhelming. I spent the beginning of the week putzing around Islington and doing tasks around the flat and then I slowly made it out to Tate Modern on Thursday. James and I visited six years ago, but almost everything I remembered about the museum had changed. 

It was a really hard week for James, so Friday night we kept it simple at Pizza Express and then we quickly retreated back to the flat for good night’s sleep. Saturday night was my dear friend Kristen's 29th birthday celebration, so James and I got dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Elk in the Woods, and then headed over to Piano Smithfield for some good ole fashion sing-along fun! We had a blast! Looking back on how I felt Sunday morning, we actually might have had too much fun, but oh well, it was soooo worth it! 

In other news, we are officially halfway through our London assignment. Can you believe it? We have been living in London for six months! It's so weird to think that I only have to write 26 more of these Weekly Recaps to reach my goal. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!  I won't get sappy on you YET, but I will definitely touch more on this subject later in the week.

WALKABOUT: PRIMROSE HILL

Primrose Hill is one of London's most expensive and exclusive districts. Prominent people of London flock to this area due to it's exclusiveness, and it has been home to many famous people including Jude Law, Tim Burton, Daniel Craig, Kate Hudson, Sienna Miller, Kate Moss, Gwen Stefani... the list goes on and on.

Primrose Hill is the name of an actual hill with a view of central London, and it is also the name of the area surrounding. Primrose Hill is apart of the borough of Camden, so it is easily accessed by the Camden Town or Chalk Farm Tube Station. From Primrose Hill, you are in walking distance of Regent's Park, Hampstead Heath, Camden Town, Madame Tussuad's London Museum, the British Museum and much, much more.

I started my walk in Camden Town and I followed the Regent's Canal until I got into the district. From there, I wandered the streets, admiring all the pristine and pastel colored homes and later found myself at the top of the Primrose Hill. After a short break on the hill, I walked through Regent's Park and caught a tube home from Baker Street in Marylebone. 

Overall, Primrose Hill was a very quaint and relaxed area. I didn't see many other tourists wandering the streets so I can see why many high-profile people live here. The hill has an amazing view of the city, so seriously, you should check it out. My pictures do NOT do it justice! Regent's Park is huge! I only saw a portion of it, so I will definitely be going back to explore more of that when the temperature warms up!
