SIX MONTHS

8 Dec 2013

Dear James,

I can't believe how fast these past six months have flown by. It seems like just yesterday we were moving into the White Water Falls apartment, testing the waters and now look at us, living in London, married for six months. It's amazing how far we've come in 7 years. I've experienced so many of my happiest memories with you and I can't wait to see where our lives take us from here. I inscribed "team starnes" on your wedding band for a reason. We are a team. I am yours and you are mine and I could not imagine spending my life with anyone else. Cheers to the next six months! I love you!

SEE: BRITISH MUSEUM

Thursday, I ventured out to the British Museum. I heard that there were mummies at this museum and anyone who knows me, knows how much I love mummies... Well, maybe that's not true, but I seriously love mummies-- and aliens for that matter!

I absolutely LOVED the British Museum. I didn't have any expectation for the museum since I didn't do any research beforehand, but I was thrilled to find out that it wasn't just a museum about Britain, it was a museum about the world!

The museum is separated into countries and/or regions: Africa, Americas, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece and Rome, Asia (GO EK!), Europe and the Middle East. I am VERY proud to say that I walked through the entire museum minus three rooms that were closed. The 4.5 hours I spent in the museum flew by, even though it was very crowded, it was a very peaceful place.  I would definitely recommend putting this on the travel itinerary if you come visit. I plan on going again with James in a few months to catch things I didn't see the first time!

SEE: HARRY POTTER PLATFORM 9 3/4

While researching bucket list material earlier this week, I came across a blurb about the Platform 9 3/4 from Harry Potter. I was very excited to find out that it was located within walking distance of our flat, so I quickly freshed-up and headed out that way.  All the reviews of Platform 9 3/4 said to be ready for a long wait, but it must have been fate, because when I showed up, I was the only one there. How awesome is that?!
see, no line!

FLASHMOB VIDEO

I finally found a video of the flash mob I participated in a month ago, and let me say, it's hilarious! I can't find myself in the video since I was in the back-left corner (upper-right on the screen), but you do see me walk across the courtyard at the very end. SHOCKER, I'm basically wearing all black. It's a pretty long video so get comfortable. The first half is the dance studio performing and then crowd joins in about 1:46.

Enjoy!
